Palermo are looking to Argentina to replace Paulo Dybala with Boca Juniors talent Jonathan Calleri.

The Rosanero have already confirmed Dybala will be sold this summer, as he has rejected a contract renewal and is the subject of a reported €40m bidding war between Juventus, Arsenal and Manchester United.

That money must be reinvested in a new forward and President Maurizio Zamparini is again ready to plug into the Argentine market.

According to reports in the Italian media, the prime target is 21-year-old Boca Juniors centre-forward Calleri.

This season he has scored eight goals in 21 League games, also providing three assists, while he also netted twice in the Copa Sudamericana.

He is eager to move on, as the arrival of ex-Inter and Southampton star Dani Osvaldo has pushed him on to the bench.

Club Brugge have been tracking Calleri for months, but Palermo can promise more exposure and impressive wages.

After all, previous South Americans who made their mark in Sicily include Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore.
