The Italian international had been linked with a return to hometown team Bari, but Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla believes that Inter have now entered the fray.

The Beneamata are in need of a striker as Dani Osvaldo will leave the club in January after falling out with Coach Roberto Mancini.

It’s reported that a meeting between officials from the club and Cassano are scheduled for Monday in Milan, where a final decision will be made.

Pedulla states that Inter are now Cassano’s preferred destination, and the 32-year-old will only consider other options should that fall through.
