Lazio Coach Stefano Pioli says he ‘doesn’t care’ whether Milan are in crisis or not, as he’s focusing on his own team.

The Rossoneri go into the game after taking just one point from three Serie A games, but Lazio themselves have only one win in their last three in all competitions.

“Are Milan in crisis?” Pioli considered in his Press conference ahead of the match.

“I don’t know, and I don’t care. I’m just thinking about the difficulties they’ll present in the game tomorrow.

“We’ve prepared meticulously, we weren’t halted by the negative result [a 1-0 loss to Napoli] last Sunday. We want the three points.

“The Napoli game showed us that we can play on a par with a good opponent, but also instilled in us the belief we have to be sharper in attack.

“We have to play with more consistency, to compete for 95 minutes. In the first game against Milan, we played well, but we were naive.

“We were at the beginning of our journey, where results were not great but performances were good.

“We’ve acquired a mentality and a philosophy and that allows us to approach games with conviction.

“We’re not giving up on anything, we’ve been growing what matters now is to get back to picking up points in the second half of the season.

“It means nothing to be in the top five now, what counts is being there at the end. I don’t think 31 points will be enough to qualify for Europe.

“We have to improve in every game. In the first half of the season there were more positive things than negative.

“We’re still working, but we had a good first half of the season. We’ll have to do even better in the second.”

Lazio will face Milan twice in four days, as they travel to San Siro on Tuesday to take on the Rossoneri in the Coppa Italia, and Pioli insists both competitions are important.

“I’ve already experienced a double-confrontation like this with Napoli when I was at Bologna, in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

“They’re two games we want to win, but we’re only thinking about tomorrow. That said, we want to do well in both competitions.

“I hope to have more players available to field a good team in both games. We want to face the next match with the right attitude, then there will be time to make choices for the game after that.”
