The Colombian striker is increasingly being linked with a move to Sampdoria, but the price difference remains an obstacle.

Whilst reports yesterday from Sky Sport Italia indicated a breakthrough in talks between the clubs in London, today’s scenario indicates a difference of €5m still exists.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Blucerchiati are willing to increase their initial offer of €8m for 23-year-old to €10m.

Sampdoria director Carlo Osti and President Massimo Ferrero apparently made clear this position in meeting with Udinese President Giampaolo Pozzo yesterday, and now await a response.

The Zebrette, who are seen to still value Muriel at €15m, would apparently be ready in case of his departure to bid for Milan’s M'Baye Niang as replacement.
