This has led to him being heavily linked with a host of top European clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester City.
However, Radio Mana Sport this evening report that the 27-year-old has moved to reassure supporters that he will be remaining with his current club.
“I’m staying at Roma, relax,” Benatia is quoted as saying.
