The Milan forward is set for another transfer window of links away from the Rossoneri, with it once more expected that former club Santos will be leading the way.

However, the player’s representative has made clear that this is by no means a certainty.

“Robinho has a contract until 2016,” began Marisa Ramos to milannews.it today.

“Contracts are made to be broken? Certainly, but agreements can also be found between the two parties. Milan have the opportunity anyhow to evaluate his season.

“A return to Brazil? This is spoken about a lot and I do not understand why. Robinho has interest from all over the world, and yet we always talk about Brazil.

“True, Robinho loves Santos, but first and foremost he is a professional. Had he simply been a fan then he would never have left Santos, but there are market conditions that lead to other roads.

“It is clear that the affection remains, and Santos would be the first choice, but you must always consider where there are the conditions.”

Luiz Felipe Scolari named his 23-man Brazil squad earlier this week and it did not include the Milan man.

“He has accepted it with serenity, whilst on the other hand the competition to get into the 23 with the national team is great.

“Throughout the world there are compatriots who are doing very well and indeed even other players of great talent have been left out by Scolari.

“It is part of the game and Robinho must accept the Coach’s decision.”
