The Nerazzurri are fourth in the standings, three points shy of the Champions League zone and seven behind leaders Roma.

“We are satisfied with what we have done so far when you consider the past problems,” the Brazilian told Futnacional after Saturday’s victory at San Siro.

“Now we have to work even harder.

“We have been able to get closer to the leading teams in the standings. Now we can fight for a place in the Champions League and the Scudetto.”

Inter are now bossed by Walter Mazzarri, the man who replaced Andrea Stramaccioni following the club’s ninth-place finish in 2012-13.

The Beneamata have collected 25 points from their 12 games so far this term.
