The striker is looking for a new club after Anzhi’s main investor pulled the plug on finances.

He has been linked with Chelsea for a reunion with Jose Mourinho, his boss during the 2010 Treble at San Siro.

However, the Cameroon international’s agent declared Chelsea’s policy was not to sign any players over the age of 30.

This evening Sky Sport Italia claimed Eto’o had been spotted in Milan, so he could well be in negotiations with the Nerazzurri.

Inter play their first Serie A game of the season against Genoa at San Siro, kicking off at 17.00 UK time, so it’s entirely possible he will be in the stands.
