Enzo Maresca says he’ll soon spill the beans regarding his lack of use by Sampdoria since the start of the year.

The summer signing from Malaga was a regular fixture in the side under previous boss Ciro Ferrara, but he’s hardly been selected since Delio Rossi took charge in December.

“Once we have mathematically ensured safety then I will clarify why I have hardly played in 2013,” he noted on his Twitter account.

“I won’t do so at this stage out of respect for the club and the fans. Nevertheless, I think the reason for my absence is clear.”

One of Rossi’s first moves when arriving at Marassi was to reintegrate Angelo Palombo after he was frozen out of the squad under the previous regime.

Maresca, 33, started 13 of the club’s first 17 League games this term, but he’s featured in just two games for Rossi.
