Massimiliano Allegri complimented Reggina and Coach Davide Dionigi on their performance after Milan set up a Coppa Quarter-Final tie with Juventus.
The Rossoneri struggled for most of the game, but eventually broke through to win 3-0 at San Siro.
“It was a terrible first half from us and we were unable to take our chances,” said Allegri.
“In the second half we clearly deserved to qualify. I have to compliment Reggina, who put in a fine performance and made it difficult for us.”
Reggina Coach Dionigi also talked to RAI after the Coppa Italia Fifth Round match.
“We played a good game, even if some incidents would need to be seen again. I didn’t use some first choice players because the Serie B tournament is too tight for us to get away with it.
“We are in a delicate situation and need to get out of it as soon as possible.”
Reggina are sixth from bottom in Italy’s second division.
