Milan have insisted that they have no plans to sell Stephan El Shaarawy to Manchester United or any other interested club.

The 19-year-old is alleged to have caught the eye of the Premiership giants after scoring four goals in six Serie A games to date this season.

“El Shaarawy is an investment for this club and we are very happy with him,” Vice-President Adriano Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

“Manchester United have fallen in love with him? Our policy is to focus on youngsters and he won’t be moving from here.”

El Shaarawy has been one of the few bright sparks of a problematic start to the season which has seen the future of boss Massimiliano Allegri questioned.

“Allegri has the faith of the club,” Galliani noted. “It is clear that all Coaches are at risk when they continue to lose, but that isn’t Allegri’s case.

“We are convinced that results can only improve.”

Next weekend will see the Milan derby against Inter, but Galliani insists that his side have to take things one game at a time.

“It would be better if we focused on Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League first, even if the Inter game is also very important.”
