Milan’s hopes of re-signing Ricky Kaka from Real Madrid this summer look to be slimming, as Adriano Galliani admits it is ‘almost impossible’.
The Rossoneri have expressed an interest in bringing the 30-year-old playmaker back to San Siro, after three years in Spain, and Vice-President Galliani held talks this week with Real President Florentino Perez.
However, reports have since suggested that the two clubs are after different things from the transfer, with Milan keen for an initial loan deal and Madrid only for a sale. Meanwhile, Kaka’s reputed €10m-a-year wage demands are also believed to have affected negotiations.
Asked of the transfer’s progress after watching Kaka inspire Real to a 5-1 win over Milan in a pre-season game last night, Galliani was less than enthusiastic.
“The operation for Kaka is objectively very, very difficult,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It is almost impossible. Costs are high, salaries are very high.”
Meanwhile, the Brazilian’s Coach Jose Mourinho again stated his happiness if the player should end up staying with Los Blancos for next term.
“I’m happy if Kaka stays and am happy if he wants to go. In football it is important that players play where they want to.
“He is better prepared to compete at the highest levels. If he wants to stay then perfect. If he leaves then perfect, but we do not want to give him away for free.
“If [Milan] want him, they will have to pay for him.”
