Chievo are in the market to add potentially a sixth striker to their 2012-13 roster and could fight rivals Hellas for Andrea Caracciolo.

The 30-year-old forward, who struggled last term at Genoa before a loan spell at Novara, is currently on the books at Brescia, who won him back from the Grifone in a blind auction earlier this summer.

It is understood that the striker is now being presented with a choice of rivals Chievo and Hellas Verona.

Whilst the Mussi Volanti have already added David Di Michele to their front-line and extended Alberto Paloschi’s loan from Milan for another season, their sporting director admitted today that they are open to adding another forward.

“There will be another move,” Giovanni Sartori told L’Arena. “A midfielder or a striker, we shall see.

“At least a couple of players will also be sold, but we will look to bring in another to retouch the midfield or attack.

“We’ve given ourselves a little time to evaluate what to now do. Certainly I think that the Coach wants to use Thereau as a playmaker again, and according to this choice then we could find that we are missing [another forward].”
