The legendary Roberto Baggio would be a success if he was to take charge of Inter, says a respected Italian agent.

Baggio, now 45, has been tentatively linked with a coaching role at former club Inter given his friendship with President Massimo Moratti.

“I know Baggio and he wouldn’t be an assistant Coach to anybody,” Antonio Caliendo told Radio Sportiva.

“I, however, think he could become a great Coach for a great team. If he went to Inter then he could do as well as Antonio Conte has at Juventus.

“Saying that, I do sometimes make mistakes. I thought that Gianluca Vialli would be a great Coach and Roberto Mancini wouldn’t. I was wrong.”

Baggio, 27 goals in 56 caps for his country, retired as a player in 2004 while at Brescia.

In August 2010, he was appointed as the President of the Italian Football Federation’s technical sector. He has since been in the process of obtaining his coaching badges.
