The finer points to Milan’s proposed move for Catania’s Argentine striker Maxi Lopez have emerged, even if the transfer is still far from certain to go through.
According to reports circulating this morning and now repeated by Sky Sport Italia this afternoon, Catania and Milan have an agreement in place for a six-month loan deal for the forward.
Lopez will move to San Siro until the end of the season for a cost of €500,000, with the option in place for the Rossoneri to buy the forward outright in the summer for €8.5m.

Lopez will move to San Siro until the end of the season for a cost of €500,000, with the option in place for the Rossoneri to buy the forward outright in the summer for €8.5m.
The 27-year-old is thought likely to earn in the region of €700,000 in wages for the period up to June, and then €1.5m a season on a reported three-year contract.
However, where the terms are said to be agreed and finalised, the player has reportedly yet to complete his medical examinations or sign anything as he waits for Il Diavolo to reach a final decision on the move.
As Adriano Galliani admitted on Monday evening, the club are still interested in pursuing Carlos Tevez, but need Manchester City to relent on their position in negotiations.
Lopez’ agent has intimated that any deal for his client is likely to be concluded over the next few days. The Argentine is reportedly holed up in a hotel in Milan waiting for confirmation from the club either way.
