The Argentine has been linked with a switch to the Rossoneri and the Sicilian club have admitted that a deal in on the horizon.

“There is a full agreement with Milan,” Catania director general Pietro Lo Monaco stated. “We just have to agree which week to finalise everything.”

Milan are looking for a new striker as cover for Antonio Cassano, who is recovering from heart surgery.

According to reports, Lopez will arrive even if the Italian champions manage to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.

While Tevez could replace Cassano in the squad, Lopez may step in for Pippo Inzaghi who looks set to leave the club in January.
