Marco Storari has agreed to extend his contract at Juventus until 2014, reports in Italy are suggesting.

The custodian's current deal expires in 2013, but club officials were keen to tie him down to a new agreement.

After talks between the player's representative and director general Beppe Marotta, an understanding is thought to have been reached.

Storari, who is also set to net a pay rise, was linked with a variety of clubs in the summer given that Gigi Buffon is the first choice in Turin.

The former Milan man was signed by the Old Lady last summer after Buffon picked up a serious injury at the 2010 World Cup.

During the course of 2010-11, the veteran shot-stopper played in 29 games in all competitions for the Old Lady of Italian football.
