The Aquile president claims that sporting director Walter Sabatini, working for the Giallorossi, phoned Coach Marcelo Bielsa and discouraged him from coming to Lazio.
Lotito also spoke disparagingly about Francesco Totti, who was reportedly amused by the Bielsa shenanigans.
“There's little for him to laugh about,” Lotito said. “Roma don't have a club and don't have the money, you'll see.”
Predictably, on the same morning Pallotta released a few statements hitting back.
“I love this boy,” said the American, as reported by PagineGiallorosse. “He makes me laugh. But I feel terrible for the Lazio fans, who have to deal with this every day. They deserve better.”
