Reports suggest Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger has torn his cruciate ligament while on Germany duty.
The centre-back was preparing for Germany’s Euro 2016 campaign when he limped off in training today supported by team doctors.
According to reports in Germany including Bild, as well as Guardian journalist Raphael Honigstein, the Giallorossi man has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, and will therefore miss the tournament.
A statement from the DFB later confirmed that initial scans suggested a cruciate ligament injury.
