La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed this afternoon that the two clubs had finally reached an agreement to release the Coach from his contract, which runs until June 2017.
“We haven’t sealed any deal,” Sampdoria lawyer Antonio Romei told Sky Sport Italia.

“There is no news on the Coach. We are still thinking about it and hopefully won’t have to wait too long.”
Fiorentina sacked Montella over the summer, but still want €3m to release him from his contract.
Other alternatives for the Blucerchiati include Murat Yakin, Francesco Guidolin and Gigi Del Neri.
Samp fired Walter Zenga this week and are yet to find a replacement.
