The Old Lady’s 1-0 win at Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday saw them overtake the Ukrainian outfit to top their section.

As a consequence, the Turin giants will now take on a side who finished second amongst the other groups and there are six options.

Porto, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Valencia, Celtic and Galatasaray are possible opponents as they can’t face fellow Italian club Milan or Shakhtar again at the next stage.

Meanwhile, Milan finished second to Malaga and thus run the risk of being put up against Paris Saint-Germain, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Manchester United.

Juventus will play the first leg of their tie away from home, while Milan will entertain their opponents at San Siro in their first leg encounter.

The draw for the last 16 will take place on Thursday 20 December.
