Julio Velazquez believes the 2-0 victory away to Chievo shows Udinese are beginning to grasp the mechanics of his football.

Rodrigo De Paul was decisive at the Bentegodi with a stunning long-range strike and then the assist for Kevin Lasagna’s counter-attack.

“My team played very well, we remained solid and hit them on the break, making the most of our positioning,” the Spanish Coach said in his Press conference.

“I expected Chievo to be physical and tough to break down, but we played our game and brought home a deserved three points. I’m glad we contained Valter Birsa and moved well off the ball.

“I’m pleased that De Paul has found his position in the system, while Lasagna still has to fully grasp some of the movements that will be most useful, but he’s doing better.

“I also want to single out our goalkeeper Simone Scuffet, as he put in a truly impressive performance.”
