Juventus announced they will investigate and “discipline” players after their Under-15 team was filmed making insulting chants towards Napoli.
The Bianconeri kids had just beaten their Partenopei rivals 3-0 in the Scudetto semi-final.
A player filmed the celebrations in the locker room and uploaded it to his Instagram account.
It showed clearly the Juventus players singing a mocking version of Napoli’s chant with the lyrics: ‘We have a dream in our hearts, Napoli use soap.’

This sort of insult, including the infamous ‘Vesuvius wash them with lava’ chant, has been punished with the same severity as racist abuse, as it is considered ‘territorial discrimination.’
The fact this sort of abuse is being heard inside a locker room of players under the age of 15 is disconcerting.
The official Juventus Twitter account posted this evening that “following the events of Juventus-Napoli Under 15, the club reserves the time to ascertain precisely what happened and decide the relative disciplinary sanctions towards its players.”
