Giampiero Ventura has reportedly accepted an offer to become Chievo Coach, so his appointment should be confirmed later today.

President Luca Campedelli has therefore decided to sack Lorenzo D’Anna, with only an official announcement to come.

Ventura and Beppe Iachini were the favourites to replace him, but Sky Italia is now reporting that Chievo have chosen the former Italy boss.

The ex-Torino Coach has accepted their offer, so his appointment should be confirmed in the coming hours.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Ventura will be given a contract until the end of the season.
