Bologna Coach Filippo Inzaghi insists he doesn’t fear his job is on the line against Sampdoria – “the club and the team trust me”.

The Rossoblu have won just twice in the opening 13 games, and it was reported yesterday that the trip to Genoa could be decisive for Super Pippo’s future.

“I’m experiencing the situation calmly,” Inzaghi shrugged in his pre-match Press conference.

“The club and the team trust me. The position of Coach always exposes you to big risks, but I feel a lot of trust from everyone.”

Inzaghi also discussed what awaits his team tomorrow.

“The Blucerchiati have great values, as well as being a team with solid players like Fabio Quagliarella and Gregoire Defrel.

“Until five games ago we were talking about them as the revelation of the season, with the best defence in Serie A.

“Tomorrow I want to give consistency to our performances, the lads are calm and confident and I hope they can reproduce what they’ve shown in training this week.

“We need to win a few more of these scrappy games, that would help us to lose the mental block and play with more fluidity.

“We need to pick up results, because that’s what matters, and with a better position in the table the lads can grow even better.

“There’s no question the team has improved compared to two months ago.”
