Parma’s ownership saga rumbles on, as prospective new President Pietro Doca says he won’t attend a Press conference scheduled for tomorrow.

The Ducali appeared to confirm that Doca had taken over the club on Tuesday, posting a statement on the club’s website stating that the deal had been done and the new owner would attend a Press conference at Tardini on Friday.

However, yesterday Doca denied that the deal was done, saying that not all of the relevant documents had been signed.

Former owner Tommaso Ghirardi then refuted those claims, saying he hoped the matter would be cleared up at the Press conference.

However, in a new development to the saga, Doca has released a statement saying that he will not attend any such media event.

“An official document for the sale has not been signed,” the potential new owner insisted.

“To date we are not at the helm of Parma, I am not the President and I am not the owner of the Emilian club despite what has been written in the media.

“The deal will be officially completed when conditions are right.

“Therefore, at the moment I do not intend to participate in any Press conference.

“I will call a Press conference if and when I am in possession of the ownership deed of Parma FC.”
