Rafael Leao will start for Milan against Sassuolo, while Luka Jovic will replace Olivier Giroud.

It kicks off at 14:00 UK time (GMT+1).

The Neroverdi are desperate for points after last week’s 2-2 draw against Salernitana which kept them in the relegation zone, two points below 17th-placed Hellas Verona.

Domenico Berardi, Marus Pedersen, and ex-Milan winger Samu Castillejo are unavailable on Davide Ballardini’s side. The Italian tactician will rely on Gregoire Defrel as a right winger while Nedim Bajrami fights for a starting spot with Uros Racic.

Milan must cope without the injured Mike Maignan and contrary to what had emerged on the eve of the game, Rafael Leao is expected to start for the Rossoneri, joining Samuel Chukwueze and Ruben Loftus-Cheek behind Jovic.

Stefano Pioli will rotate in midfield and central defence, starting Yacine Adli and Yunus Musah in the middle of the park, Simon Kjaer in central defence, and Alessandro Florenzi as a right-back.
