21:35 Match report

Ceide replaces Boloca for Sassuolo.

21:14 Fiorentina subs

Belotti and Comuzzo on, Kouame and Martinez Quarta off. Basically, Italiano assuming even Belotti has to score in this game…

21:12 Barak off the upright!

Antonin Barak down the left this time, hits it from a tight angle and the ball bounces off the far post, then Consigli makes a save on the rebound!

21:09 Fiorentina 5-1 Sassuolo: Nico Gonzalez!

OK, we give up. Duncan ball over the top, Nico Gonzalez flicks it on, Barak pulls it back across first time for the Argentine to volley in!

21:07 Sassuolo subs

Missori and Matheus Henrique on, Tressoldi and Obiang off.

21:05 Fiorentina 4-1 Sassuolo: Antonin Barak!

Stop being silly. Need to check for potential Kayode offside in the build-up, but Sottil slipped the pass through for Barak’s angled drive. Sassuolo defence all over the place.

21:03 This is just silly

Three goals in four minutes is unacceptable for a poor Liveblogger who is on their fifth game of the day.

21:01 Fiorentina 3-1 Sassuolo: Nico Gonzalez!

Calm down! Sottil floats a cross beyond the head of Kouame, but it does reach Nico Gonzalez to nod in from six yards!

21:00 Fiorentina 2-1 Sassuolo: Kristian Thorstvedt!

Game on! Well-worked move down the left, through ball for Thorstvedt, who gets away from Duncan and absolutely smashes the left-foot finish into the roof of the net from a tricky angle.

20:59 Special dedication

Martinez Quarta shows off and then kisses a shirt with the face of director Joe Barone.

20:57 Fiorentina 2-0 Sassuolo: Lucas Martinez Quarta!

Fiorentina corner taken short, Arthur Melo floats a ball into the box for the traditional Martinez Quarta header from six yards!

20:57 Save on Nico Gonzalez

A well-worked Fiorentina move, Ikone back-heel flick, Barak to Nico Gonzalez, curler beaten away for a corner.

Sottil curler the difference so far, but Consigli and the crossbar keeping the scoreline down.

20:29 Save on Barak!

Kouame sends Barak down the right, angled drive beaten away by Consigli!

20:26 Fiorentina close

That’s a repeat, again Sottil down the left flashes a ball across the face of goal, again Ikone fails to connect with his head!

20:22 Save on Ikone

Ikone runs to the by-line, holds off Viti and really ought to pull it back, but instead goes for goal and forces a save from the tightest of angles.

20:21 Barak drills wide

Barak manages to get himself into space and drills just wide of the near post.

20:19 Save on Thorstvedt

That Sassuolo free kick routine needs work… The touch on was a bit heavy, Thorstvedt strike got through the wall anyway and smothered by Christensen.

20:18 Martinez Quarta booked

And a dangerous spot for a Sassuolo free kick.

20:17 Sassuolo respond

Christensen comes flying out to meet Doig and doesn’t get the ball or Doig, but does manage to push him a bit wider and the cross is misplaced.

20:14 Parisi hits the crossbar!

Parisi cuts into the box, unleashes a left-foot scorcher that smacks against the crossbar!

20:10 Sassuolo chance

Pinamonti again good in the air, wins a corner, from which Ruan Tressoldi nods over the bar.

20:09 Dangerous ball

Long Fiorentina ball over the top, but Consigli is alert and rushes out to grab it.

20:05 Sassuolo hit back

Pinamonti attempts a chest and volley, does the first part, misses the second.

20:03 Fiorentina 1-0 Sassuolo: Riccardo Sottil!

He tried and tried and tried, had to break through eventually. Volpato lost the ball rather cheaply, but then Sottil gathered down the left, cut inside and bent a right-foot finish into the far bottom corner from the edge of the area!

20:00 Fiorentina chance

Sottil sprints down the left, rolls across and Kouame sliding in just fails to make contact!

19:57 Sottil still trying

Free kick flicked on by Pinamonti for a corner, then his cross charged down.

19:53 Sottil attempt

Sottil cuts inside, curler charged down.

19:48 Aggressive Fiorentina start

19:46 We have kick-off in Fiorentina vs. Sassuolo!

19:44 Carnevali lays flowers

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali, who was good friends with Joe Barone, lays flowers on the Fiorentina director general’s chair. It will forever be his seat in this stadium.

18:49 Stoppages

Into 5 minutes of stoppages in Naples.

18:47 Napoli 2-2 Roma: Tammy Abraham!

Not offside! Ndicka flicked on the corner and Abraham was evidently being kept onside by a Napoli player.

18:46 Roma goal disallowed!

Traore limps off already, replaced by Ostigard. Roma then score with Abraham’s header from a corner, the offside flag is up.

18:46 Fiorentina vs. Sassuolo line-ups

18:41 Napoli 2-1 Roma: Victor Osimhen penalty!

Osimhen’s had a mixed bag with penalties this season, but he sends Svilar the wrong way to convert!

18:40 Penalty for Napoli!

VAR review confirms it!

18:39 What happened

Sanches got the ball first, but then the ball was still kind of there and with the trailing foot caught Kvaratskhelia on the shin.

18:38 Napoli fury

Osimhen controls a cross, lays it off for Kvaratskhelia, who goes down under a Renato Sanches challenge, referee waves play on. Move continues, Anguissa booked for taking down Dybala. It’s not massively clear what happened there…

18:33 Rrahmani booked

Rrahmani booked for catching Dybala on the ankle.

18:31 Svilar denies Osimhen!

That had to be a goal! Osimhen sprints onto the Ngonge pass, bursts away from Mancini, but Svilar rushes out and gets a wrist to push it over the bar!

18:30 Kvaratskhelia chance

Osimhen floats a cross from the right, Kvaratskhelia shapes up for the volley, but Kristensen does just enough to put him off.

18:28 Olivera goal

18:27 Napoli subs

Ngonge and Traore on, Politano and Cajuste off.

18:26 Roma subs

Renato Sanches and Abraham on, Bove and Azmoun off.

18:25 Roma chance

Suddenly, the two teams have woken up! Meret has to make a save on Pellegrini’s snapshot.

18:23 Osimhen close!

Napoli nearly turn it around, Osimhen header grazes a coat of paint off the far post!

18:21 Napoli 1-1 Roma: Matias Olivera!

It will be credited to him, but it took a massive deflection off Angelino to loop up over a helpless Svilar and went right into the far top corner!

18:21 Lookman goal

18:18 Atalanta chance

Lookman change of direction to wrong-foot defenders, the angled drive SKIMS the far post!

18:18 Roma sub

Angelino replaces El Shaarawy.

18:16 Napoli 0-1 Roma: Paulo Dybala penalty!

Never in doubt, despite Meret guessing the right angle, but it was right in the corner.

18:15 Penalty for Roma!

Azmoun got to the ball before Juan Jesus! One of those penalties you only get in Italy.

18:14 Huge Napoli chance!

Lobotka springs the offside trap, tries to dink it over Svilar, the goalkeeper gets just a touch, enough to allow Mancini to take it away from Kvaratskhelia!

18:13 Napoli threaten

Osimhen breaks down the wing, rolls across for Cajuste, but Svilar is alert and smothers.

18:12 Roma attempt

Dybala free kick flicked on by Cristante, but straight at Meret.

18:09 Atalanta 2-0 Empoli: Ademola Lookman!

Talk about a solo effort. Lookman gathers in the centre-circle, turns Bereszynski, sprints off and then drills a low finish in at the near bottom corner!

18:08 Roma chance

First real one for Roma, Kristensen cross from the right finds El Shaarawy for an acrobatic scissor-kick volley wide! Osimhen then lays it off for Politano to blast off target with his weaker foot.

18:04 2nd half kicks off: Atalanta 1-0 Empoli

18:03 2nd half kicks off: Napoli 0-0 Roma

17:48 Half-Time: Atalanta 1-0 Empoli

Pasalic penalty decisive so far.

17:47 Atalanta chance

What a waste… El Bilal Toure ran onto the through ball, insisted on cutting inside onto his right foot, the gap closed, then Miranchuk aimed a weak finish at the goalkeeper.

17:46 Half-Time: Napoli 0-0 Roma

Partenopei with quite a few chances, but they’ve got to make those count.

17:44 Napoli again!

Kvaratskhelia free kick flashes across the face of goal, Di Lorenzo just manages to graze his head to it.

17:41 Atalanta 1-0 Empoli: Mario Pasalic penalty!

Caprile unlucky, he got a hand to that, but the power beat him at the near bottom corner.

17:40 Penalty for Atalanta!

Toure caught on the back of the leg! Pezzella just mistimed that.

17:39 Svilar save!

They’ve got to start making some of this count. Kvaratskhelia curler from the edge of the box, Svilar slaps it over the bar with one hand!

17:35 Napoli waste!

Osimhen flicks on a long ball, Anguissa sprints clear on goal, Svilar rushes out to make himself big, but even then the finish is awful!

17:34 This is a Napoli problem

Repeatedly when a Napoli player goes on the rapid counter, he has NO support from anyone else. They are so slow pushing forward.

17:33 Juan Jesus intercepts

Smart Dybala through ball for Azmoun, but Juan Jesus intercepts.

17:29 Save on Osimhen

Osimhen finally does manage to run away from Ndicka, but the angled drive is well saved at the near post. Roma then counter, but Azmoun gets in the way of the effort.

17:27 Another Ndicka block!

Osimhen in the box, manages to turn and get the shot away from six yards on an Anguissa assist, but Ndicka is always in the way!

17:24 Empoli sub

Cacace replaces the injured Walukiewicz

17:24 Luperto booked

Empoli furious that Luperto is booked, they felt it wasn’t even a foul on Miranchuk, who was a bit too weak…

17:22 Empoli problem

Walukiewicz clutching the back of his thigh, needs treatment.

17:19 Save on Di Lorenzo

Di Lorenzo manages to come sliding in at the near post to meet the Politano assist, but Svilar uses his legs to parry.

17:18 Osimhen on target

Osimhen frustrated to find he sparked a counter-attack and none of his teammates made the run to support him, so in the end had to just hit it at Svilar.

17:15 Juan Jesus over

Napoli corner, Juan Jesus takes a touch and then fires over.

17:14 Napoli fans protesting

Napoli ultras are again in silence to protest their awful recent form.

17:11 Anguissa hurt

Anguissa and Cristante with a coming together, the Napoli man comes off worse.

17:09 Another Ndicka block

This is going to be a tasty battle… Osimhen and Ndicka very well matched.

17:09 Empoli chance

Again down the left, Luperto cross finds Fazzini, who heads wide of the near post.

17:07 Osimhen

Osimhen sent through down the left, crucial block from Ndicka!

17:05 Roma chance

On the corner, Mancini knocks it down for Pellegrini, who heads over from point-blank range!

17:05 Roma corner

Anguissa just failed to get his head to a cross. Roma’s first attack saw Juan Jesus panic with his clearance, Spinazzola eventually got a corner.

17:03 Aggressive Empoli

Ball rolled across from the left, Niang prods wide of the near post.

16:02 Match Report

15:57 FT: Bologna 1-1 Udinese

Nobody is happy with that result!

15:56 UDINESE OFF THE POST

Bologna too unbalanced down to 10, Lucumi error lets Keinan Davis clear and the curler bounces off the far post!

15:55 It’s all Bologna

You cannot tell they are down to 10, Bologna want this more and Freuler overhits the cross from the right.

15:53 Joao Ferreira booked

We are into stoppages, Joao Ferreira booked for taking down Salaemakers.

15:52 Atalanta vs. Empoli line-ups

15:50 Saelemaekers again!

Aebischer stumbles on the edge of the area, still manages to set up Saelemaekers to fire inches over the bar!

15:49 Save on Saelemaekers

Saelemaekers cuts inside from the right, finally gets the left-foot finish away while surrounded, but Okoye is alert to smother this time. Davis booked for lunge on Fabbian.

15:48 Subs

Payero and Kamara off, Brenner and Zemura.

Zirkzee and Ndoye make way for Lykogiannis and Fabbian.

15:46 For the Brits

15:43 Saelemaekers goal

15:43 Payero booked

Payero booked for the shirt tug on Saelemaekers, he too will be suspended for Udinese.

15:40 Udinese chance

Kamara dribbles into the box and his strike is charged down.

15:38 Bologna 1-1 Udinese: Alexis Saelemaekers!

Did he mean to do that? It’s Saelemaekers, so he probably did. Free kick everyone is expecting into the box, he spots Okoye off his line and lobs it into the far top corner with the goalkeeper flailing!

15:36 Zirkzee booked

Zirkzee had done really well to get the ball, then reacted to a Kristiansen shirt tug by barging him in the ribs with a shoulder. Not quite an elbow, but he still meant that.

15:32 Bologna threaten

Zirkzee with an inspired run, nutmeg and pass to send Ndoye down the left, but the winger hesitates and only gets a corner.

15:31 Udinese chance

Samardzic snapshot from distance, Skorupski only manages to parry, then Davis offside on the rebound.

15:29 Subs

Posch off, Corazza on for Bologna

Davis and Zarraga on for Udinese, Pereyra and Lucca off.

15:28 Perez booked

Neuhen Perez booked for the lunge on Zirkzee, so he’ll be suspended against Napoli – the team he nearly joined in January.

15:26 Udinese chance

Free kick pumped forward, nodded on and Kristiansen header into the arms of Skorupski.

15:25 Beukema sent off!

Bologna wasted another promising situation with Ndoye taking forever to make a decision, Udinese broke on the counter and Beukema simply took out Samardzic, nowhere near the ball. It was his second yellow card.

15:20 Udinese sub

Joao Ferreira on, an understandably tired Ehizibue off.

15:19 Ndoye wasteful!

That’s another shot on target, but it should’ve been much better… Cross-shot deflected into the path of Ndoye totally unmarked, he seems to consider what to do next and has no power or precision behind it, straight at Okoye.

15:16 Beukema booked

The Bologna defender will be suspended against Torino.

15:15 Poor from Aebischer

Worryingly, that might be the first Bologna shot on target. And it’s terrible. Aebischer shins it horribly to roll into the arms of Okoye.

15:13 Lucca yellow card

He risked worse for that, flailing out an arm on Ndoye’s face, Bologna protested, but a yellow is fair.

15:11 Bologna aggressive

Thiago Motta presumably gave them a good talking to at half-time, they have come out with more determination. Still no real chances. Meanwhile, Okoye already booked for time-wasting. At the 50th minute.

15:06 2nd half kicks off: Bologna 0-1 Udinese

15:06 Bologna sub

Orsolini replaces El Azzouzi

14:57 Actually

Lucca wasn’t trying to roll across, he was trying to score, but the deflection took it towards Payero.

14:50 Half-Time: Bologna 0-1 Udinese

14:49 Udinese threaten a second!

Samardzic free kick whipped across the six-yard box and Lucca is INCHES away from getting the tap-in at the back post!

14:47 Bologna 0-1 Udinese: Martin Payero!

What a mess! Bologna playing out from the back goes very wrong, Freuler finds himself surrounded, Lucca rolls it across for Payero’s tap-in, aided by a deflection!

14:46 Bologna scare

Long ball, Skorupski times the rush badly, Kristensen gets the header first, but then there’s a foul.

14:44 Zirkzee effort

Zirkzee strike from the edge of the area deflected, then on the resulting corner Aebischer fires over.

14:43 Saelemaekers over

Saelemaekers makes a total mess of that free kick.

14:42 Ehizibue booked

Saelemaekers was getting away, bundled over by Ehizibue, then they got their legs all tangled up and that rather irritated the Bologna man. The yellow card was more for the tangling than the foul.

14:41 Bologna corner

Saelemaekers corner for Lucumi, but again Udinese defend well and then draw a foul.

14:38 Bologna threaten

Zirkzee give and go with Saelemaekers, but Ehizibue is effective to intercept inside the penalty area.

14:36 It’s an even game

Zirkzee wins a corner, Bologna fail to make the most of it, then Udinese counter-attack also fizzles out.

14:30 El Azzouzi, calm down

El Azzouzi has perhaps too much enthusiasm and is flinging himself into tackles left, right and centre. Next one and he’ll be carded.

14:29 Oof

El Azzouzi is late in the leap, collides heavily with Kristiansen. Thought for a second Kristiansen was unconscious, but he was just sore. Landed horribly…

14:26 Udinese threaten

Ehizibue bursts down the right again, rolls across and Bologna defend with frankly more calm than was expected in that situation.

14:24 Udinese close

Risky! Udinese free kick should be cleared by Zirkzee, but he fires it onto the shin of an Udinese player and the ricochet rebounds just wide.

14:23 Posch sore

Posch got a knock in the ribs during a collision and is rather winded, but ok to continue.

14:18 Bijol crucial

Dangerous Bologna attack down the left, ball rolled across for a tap-in, but Bijol with the crucial interception.

14:13 Ehizibue aggressive

Good run from Ehizibue down the Udinese right, but unlucky with the final ricochet. Goal kick.

14:09 More corners

Series of Bologna corners, but Saelemaekers overhits the cross.

14:05 Corner for Bologna

Long ball for Ndoye, Bijol furious with Okoye for not coming for it.

14:00 We have kick-off in Bologna vs. Udinese!

Bologna: Skorupski; Posch, Lucumi, Beukema, Kristiansen; Freuler; Ndoye, Aebischer, El Azzouzi, Saelemaekers; Zirkzee

Udinese: Okoye; Perez, Bijol, Kristensen; Ehizibue, Walace, Payero, Kamara; Samardzic, Pereyra; Lucca

13:58 Cannavaro and Thiago embrace

Fabio Cannavaro made his Udinese debut in the mini-match against Roma on Thursday, losing 2-1 in stoppages.

13:56 Out come the teams in Bologna

Plenty at stake, as a win would put Bologna level third with Juventus, while Udinese risk being dragged back into the relegation zone.

13:44 Inzaghi not talking

The coach is sending Massimiliano Farris for the post-match interviews.

13:34 Barella doing Barella things

13:30 Getting the party started

Inter players have their families on the pitch to enjoy the atmosphere.

13:22 Stoppages

5 minutes awarded.

13:17 Inter wide

Inter win a corner, but it comes out to the edge of the area where Asllani drills wide.

13:14 Lautaro finish

A lovely team move from Inter, quick one-touch passing, basically a training ground routine, but Lautaro scuffs the finish.

13:13 VAR

13:10 Bologna vs. Udinese line-ups

Alexis Sanchez, Frattesi and Asllani on, Thuram, Mkhitaryan and Calhanoglu off

12:51 Inter 2-0 Torino: Hakan Calhanoglu penalty!

Never in doubt.

12:50 Penalty for Inter!

Through ball for Thuram, Lovato goes in late and catches him on the ankle.

12:47 Inter 1-0 Torino: Hakan Calhanoglu!

Lazaro gets a bit stubborn with the dribbling and is robbed by Barella, Inter move it right to left with Lautaro and Mkhitaryan to Calhanoglu, who hits it on the half-volley from 14 yards.

12:46 Inter trying

Calhanoglu free kick over, then Barella doesn’t even protest as he gets into a tangle with a Torino player reaching the Thuram back-heel flick.

12:40 Tameze sent off!

That’s harsh, really…

12:39 VAR!

VAR suggests it might be a red. But Mkhitaryan seemed to be going wide rather than at goal…

12:38 Everyone protests

Mkhitaryan going clear on goal, Tameze bundles into the back of him outside the box, yellow card. Inter wanted a red, Torino said it wasn’t a foul – yellow probably fair.

12:36 2nd half kicks off: Inter 0-0 Torino

12:19 Half-Time: Inter 0-0 Torino

Almost all the chances went to Toro.

12:14 Lautaro strike
