Milan captain Davide Calabria has received a two-match ban after a straight red card in the derby della Madonnina, while Theo Hernandez and Denzel Dumfries will be suspended for just one game.

The Serie A sports judge issued his verdicts on Tuesday afternoon, after the end of Round 33.

The Rossoneri captain Calabria was sent off at minute 95 of the derby della Madonnina last night after hitting Davide Frattesi in the face. For this reason, the Milan defender has received a two-match ban.

On the other hand, his teammate Theo Hernandez and Inter right-back Dumfries, who also received straight red cards, at minute 93, were suspended just for one match. The sports judge specified that both players grabbed themselves by the neck, leading to a straight red for each. Both Theo and Dumfries were also fined €10,000 each.

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori will also miss the next Serie A game against Juventus having received the fifth yellow card this season.

The other suspended players for Serie A Round 34 are Antonio Candreva (Salernitana), Armand Lauriente (Sassuolo), Karol Linetty (Torino), Diego Llorente, Leandro Paredes (Roma), and Zito Luvumbo (Cagliari).

  1. Neither Theo or Calabria are worthy of the armband. Theo had been v.poor since returning from suspension so he won’t be missed. His highlight since returning from suspension was bringing his kid onto the pitch vs lecce like it was the final day or some trophy parade.
