Andrea Mantovani has agreed a deal with Palermo, announced the Chievo defender. “They wanted me the most and I am reunited with Stefano Pioli.”
The 27-year-old's arrival was announced by President Maurizio Zamparini this afternoon and the player confirmed it.
“I haven't actually signed the contract yet, but we have agreed terms,” Mantovani told TMW.
“They wanted me the most and I am reunited with a Coach who I got on very well with at Chievo this season. The passion of the fans also played its part in my decision.
“I will put pen to paper this weekend or at most the start of next week.”
Mantovani was a veteran of the Flying Donkeys and leaves after six years.
“It was a wonderful experience during intense years full of personal satisfaction. I was very happy with the club and the fans, who I'll always carry in my heart.”
