Chievo make Parolo bid

Chievo have revealed that they want Cesena revelation Marco Parolo at the Stadio Bentegodi next season.

The midfielder is co-owned by both clubs, but the Verona based outfit have made the Sea Horses a player plus cash bid.

"We've formulated an important economical offer to Cesena and offered them a quality player in the form of Simone Bentivoglio," Chievo sporting director Giovanni Sartori told TMW.

"He is the right player to replace Kevin Constant in our team next season."

Parolo has just completed his first campaign in the Italian top flight which ended in Cesena surviving the drop and the player breaking into the Italy squad.

The midfielder was expected to be signed outright by either Chievo or Cesena this month, before moving on to a bigger club in the summer.

Chievo need a new central midfielder as Constant is on the verge of completing his move to Serie A rivals Genoa.
