Chelsea youngster Fabio Borini is close to joining Parma. “The transfer is not yet official, but we're at an advanced stage,” confirmed his agent.
The 19-year-old striker has struggled to find playing time at Stamford Bridge and Carlo Ancelotti has given the green light.
“The transfer to Parma is not yet official, but the negotiations are at an advanced stage,” agent Marco De Marchi told Radio Mana Mana.
“In recent months there was also interest from Lazio and Roma, but Parma picked up the pace.
“Despite the fact Ancelotti respects him, we have not reached an agreement with Chelsea to extend the contract, so we have decided to find an alternative solution.
“Fabio needs an environment that will allow him to show his quality, a club with a specific technical plan. In that sense, Parma is the ideal option.
“In the next few days we will meet again to finalise the details.”
Borini becomes the second teenage Italian talent to return to Serie A after Federico Macheda's loan switch from Manchester United to Sampdoria.
