According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, has arrived in Naples to discuss a contract extension for his client, but Barcelona have also called the Georgian star’s representative.

Tuesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport on page 12 reports Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli has landed in Naples and is ready to meet club President Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss a contract extension for his client.

Kvara is on a €1.5m-a-year deal and his representative has reportedly requested a new €5m-a-year salary.

According to the report, ADL could offer €4.5m plus add-ons, the same salary earned by Victor Osimhen before his recent contract extension at the Stadio Maradona.

However, the first thing Jugeli wants to know is Napoli‘s plan to return to greatness in 2024-25 after a highly disappointing season that saw the ex-champions change three coaches in nine months.

According to Gazzetta, Kvaratskhelia’s father and his agent would happily extend with the Partenopei despite Barcelona’s strong interest in the Georgian star.

The pink paper claims Xavi wants the 23-year-old and the La Liga giants have already called the player’s entourage.

However, as per Il Mattino, Napoli don’t want to sell Kvara at any price. The Naples-based paper confirms that a meeting between the player’s representative and Napoli is ‘imminent.’
