Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez has described his team’s pairing with Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League as the most difficult draw possible.

The Partenopei must overcome the Spanish side over two legs if they are to reach the Group Stage of Europe’s premier club competition.

Speaking to reporters after the draw was made, the San Paolo boss said that while the Basque club would pose a stern test, he is convinced his side will win through.

“Out of the five possible opponents, with Athletic we have definitely got the most difficult draw,” Benitez admitted.

“They are a team who play good football and their 50,000 home crowd at San Mames give them great support.

“It will be a good tie and a very intense contest. Without doubt, Napoli are convinced we can reach our objective.”
