Miralem Pjanic said Roma “believe” in the Scudetto, but refused to be drawn on his future. “We’ll see.”
The midfielder was Man of the Match and scored with a free kick in tonight’s 3-0 victory over Sampdoria.
“It was not easy, as Sampdoria play well and did so again today, but we had plenty of chances and deserved the victory,” he told Mediaset Premium.
This win was needed after a 0-0 draw with Lazio and 3-0 Coppa Italia semi-final defeat to Napoli.
“We weren’t afraid, as we played well in those games. We only get scared if we play badly. Is our objective to secure second place? There’s a long way to go yet. Juventus don’t think the title race is over and neither do we. We believe.”
Pjanic also spoke to Sky Sport Italia and was asked if Roma were in his future.
“We’ll see. I have always said I’m happy here, but now I have to focus on seeing out the season. When the time is right I’ll talk to the club and we will find the right solution.”
These comments will alert the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City, who have all shown an interest in the Bosnian midfielder.
