Genoa midfielder Davide Biondini has reiterated to reporters that he wants to stay at the club next season.
The 30-year-old, who joined the Grifone from Cagliari in 2012, has been linked with a move away from the Marassi this summer.
But the Italy international has insisted that he wants to remain with Fabio Liverani's men.
“I have already identified with the spirit of this club,” he told the team's official website.
“And now I want to stay.
“I have no illusions – I know we have a lot of midfielders, but I think the competition will be a good thing.
“Genoa is not just any club – we have a fantastic stadium and great fans.”
