Ervin Zukanovic targets a return to the Champions League with Roma next season.
The defender played for the Giallorossi against Real Madrid, and despite the elimination, the Bosnian enjoyed his first experience in the competition.
“It was a great thing, my first game in the Champions League,” Zukanovic told fans at a table football event.
“In football you get ups and downs, for me it was really nice. I’ve only been in Italy for a year and a half, now I’m playing in the Champions League.

Luciano Spalletti’s side can take a big step toward that goal when they face Inter on Saturday, and Zukanovic isn’t worried by the Nerazzurri’s hunger for third-place.
“I’m only thinking about my team and our game. The objectives of others don’t interest me.
“Can we finish second? We’ll take it week-by-week.
“For me it’s just important to play, I want to prove myself and do well. I want to continue like this.”
