According to reports on Monday evening, Inter have been in contact with the representatives of Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski and have been informed of the rough cost it would take to sign the Poland international as a free agent in the summer.

Though still an instrumental figure in the Napoli line-up, Zielinski is currently one of the hottest properties on the Serie A market. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season, however, a renewal with his current employers has not yet materialised.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Inter made an initial approach to Zielinski’s entourage a few months ago to sound out his contractual situation at the time.

The Nerazzurri have made another approach recently according to Calciomercato, and have come away with some information over the cost it would take to bring Zielinski on board.

Inter would need to fork out a signing-on bonus in the region of €4m-€5m, and would also have to offer a salary in the region of €8m.

The total cost of the operation if Zielinski were to hypothetically sign a four-year contract with Inter would total a sum around €37m.
