Walter Zenga saw ‘a positive response from everyone’ after his first win on the Cagliari bench, a last-gasp 1-0 win away to SPAL.
The coach replaced Rolando Maran in March, but was only able to make his debut last week in a defeat to Hellas Verona.
“I expected to see a different team compared to the one against Verona and I saw a positive response from everyone,” said Zenga in his press conference.

“We have to see the glass half-full. The team ran no risks throughout the game, except for that one chance when Robin Olsen did really well on Alberto Cerri.”
Olsen’s presence was a surprise, as Alessio Cragno had played in goal at the weekend.
“I observe everything during the week and then make my decision based on what is good for the team. I’m happy to play both the goalkeepers this season.”
