Italy international Nicolò Zaniolo is putting pen to paper for Aston Villa today, despite suggestions there were problems with the Galatasaray man’s medical.
The versatile forward flew out for his tests and late last night there were some reports via Sky Sport Italia that the Premier League side were having some doubts based on his fitness levels.
The 24-year-old had two serious anterior cruciate ligament tears in January 2020 and again in September 2020, followed by repeated muscular issues as he tried to recover from such a long period off the field.
Sportitalia now assure the medical tests were fine and he is putting pen to paper this afternoon on the contract.
However, Sky Sport Italia insist some details have changed in the original agreement with Galatasaray.
It remains a loan for €3.5m with an option to buy that can be made an obligation if certain conditions are met, for €20m plus another €7m in bonuses.
There are reports the obligation to buy will now depend on the number of appearances Zaniolo makes for Villa.
Never heard of the player also wonder what type of player he is and what he can bring to the team wait and see if he’s worth the money
He is fantastic if he can keep his mind straight
Tracy you must not follow football if you haven’t heard of him
Nevertheless he will be a great and much needed addition to AV
