Inter captain Javier Zanetti has claimed that teammate Ricky Alvarez is keen to stay at the club despite rumours he is to be sold in January.
The Argentine youngster has been linked with moves to Porto, Schalke and Galatasaray recently, but the 39-year-old has indicated that his countryman is happy at the club.
“I have spoken with Alvarez,” he told reporters in Argentina. “And his only desire to continue with Inter.”
He also commented on speculation surrounding Diego Milito, as well as potential transfer target Gino Peruzzi of Velez Sarsfield.
“Milito still has a year and a half on his contract and I am sure he will respect that.
“Peruzzi? I have seen him play several times. He is a great player and could do very well.”
