Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini announced he will “meet with Diego Lopez and decide” after Eugenio Corini quit.
Corini’s decision to resign after weeks of threats that he would be sacked means that the Sicilians will be on their fourth tactician of the campaign.

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini announced he will “meet with Diego Lopez and decide” after Eugenio Corini quit.
Corini’s decision to resign after weeks of threats that he would be sacked means that the Sicilians will be on their fourth tactician of the campaign.
Former Cagliari boss Lopez is flying in and should meet with the club tomorrow.
“We haven’t chosen anyone yet, but Diego Lopez is coming to Italy, so we will meet with him and decide,” Zamparini told Sky Sport Italia.
“He is the preferred choice of our director of sport Nicola Salerno and I still need to get to know him.
“I maintain the team can still stay safely in Serie A, but I certainly was not happy with the standard of football seen lately.
“It was a difficult job for Corini, as it was not easy to arrive in this situation. He was unable to change the mentality of the squad.”
