Napoli’s lawyer has accused Amin Younes of ‘insulting human intelligence’ after he was reportedly put off by the club’s ‘poor and undeveloped’ surroundings.
De Telegraaf claimed on Friday that the contract wrangle between Younes and Napoli was due to the Ajax winger’s dislike for Campania and an encounter with the Camorra, drawing a heated response from Mattia Grassani.
“Words that throw dirt on Napoli are words that can’t be commented on,” he told Radio Marte.
“In this regard, Napoli have no official position, but we condemn all of it. I’ve never heard of opinions such as those made by this man and the mayor could even take action against him.
“All this produces a media effect. I repeat that his contract has already been deposited in the League: as of July, he’ll be available to Napoli.
“He’s looking for absurd excuses because he’s given in to a five-year contract. What’s transpired is an insult to human intelligence.
“At the time of the negotiations, we knew another Younes.”
