However, it has not stopped the player from maintaining hope that something can be agreed before the close of the summer market.
“I know there is interest from Milan and it cannot but make me happy,” the player told Tuttomercatoweb.com this week.
“Milan are a great team, one of the best in the world. It is normal for them to face resistence from Montpellier, I am their captain and the team’s symbol.
“But I hope that they can find a deal, Milan is a great team, how do you say no?
“Would I renew my contract with Montpellier instead? That is possible too, just as it is not.
“Definitely to play for Milan would be a great opportunity, so we are waiting. But, I won’t rule out a renewal of the contract. Let’s see…”
