Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen have not been included in Napoli‘s pre-season squad at Dimaro and will enjoy some extra days off having played with their national teams at the end of 2022-23.
Kvara and Osimhen massively contributed to the Partenopei’s first Serie A title in 33 years last season but won’t join their teammates for the first days of the training retreat at Dimaro.
As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, the Partenopei stars have been given some extra days off as they finished 2022-23 after most of their teammates, having played with their national teams at the end of last season.
Napoli will train at Dimaro from July 14 until July 25.
New coach Rudi Garcia has called up 26 players for Napoli’s pre-season training retreat. Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen will join the group in the coming days with other teammates, including Italy international Alex Meret.
Osimhen was Serie A’s best scorer in 2022-23 with 26 goals in 32 appearances.
