Victor Osimhen is continuing his recovery after a recent hamstring injury and is aiming to be back on the pitch for Napoli soon, reports detail.

The 24-year-old Nigerian forward returned to the Campania capital earlier this week and was in the stands of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for his team’s Champions League clash with Union Berlin.

Osimhen has been sidelined since October 13 after being forced off in the 59th minute of Nigeria’s friendly with Saudi Arabia. He has missed Napoli’s last five consecutive outings, leaving Rudi Garcia without his star striker.

As reported by Il Mattino via TMW, Osimhen has been carrying out individual training exercises at Castel Volturno as he works on his recovery, keen to get back on the pitch as soon as possible.

The striker wants to be fit for Napoli’s clash with Atalanta on November 25, allowing him to use the international break to reach full fitness. The hope is to be ready for the Champions League game with Real Madrid at the end of the month.

Osimhen was not called up by Nigeria for their coming World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
