Sky Sports Italia report that West Ham are concretely interested in making a move for Milan centre back Malick Thiaw.
The 22-year-old German defender joined the Rossoneri from Schalke last year in a deal worth around €8.6m total, signing a five-year contract. After struggling for minutes in the first half of the campaign, he began to feature regularly from early February onward.
Thiaw has now carved out a regular spot for himself in the Milan squad, seeing almost 800 minutes of action across nine games this season, proving himself a talented defender.
As reported by Sky Sports Italia, a number of clubs have started to draw up offers for Thiaw, keen to take him away from Milan.
Reports in Spain have linked Real Madrid with a move, but West Ham are reportedly the most seriously interested in a deal.
Thiaw’s market value has shot up since his move from Schalke and he could command a price of up to €30-50m.
