Local reports suggest that West Ham have sounded out a move for Sofyan Amrabat, who is also wanted by Manchester United and Napoli.

The 26-year-old midfielder shot to prominence last season during the World Cup in Qatar, where he played a crucial role in Morocco’s historic run to the semi-finals.

Immediately after the tournament, Amrabat was linked with various moves and Barcelona even emerged with a late offer, but he ultimately closed out the season with Fiorentina.

As reported by TGR Rai Toscana via TMW, West Ham have emerged to start exploring a possible move for Amrabat this summer, but have been met by some resistance from the midfielder, who isn’t fully convinced about the move.

Fiorentina are willing to sell Amrabat this summer and are waiting for offers, with Manchester United and Barcelona both keeping tabs on the 26-year-old. TMW also suggest that defending champions Napoli are interested in picking him up.

The Viola want at least €30m for the Moroccan midfielder. His brother and agent Nordin recently told ESPN that “he wants to go to the top, you are not going to trade Italy for the middle bracket of the Premier League.”
