Milan have conceded five goals at home for the first time in decades following Sassuolo’s shock 5-2 victory.

The Rossoneri were hoping for a resounding response against the Neroverdi following their frustrating 4-0 loss to Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio on Tuesday, but failed to hit the mark at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, putting on another poor display.

Goals from Gregoire Defrel, Davide Frattesi, Domenico Berardi, Armand Lauriente and Matheus Henrique secured an unexpected 5-1 away win for Sassuolo.

OptaPaolo highlighted how this was the first time that Milan have conceded five goals or more at home since their 6-1 loss to Juventus on April 6, 1997.
