Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano insists Fiorentina “ought to be optimistic” against Juventus in the Europa League.
The shot-stopper was with the Tuscans last season and is such a huge fan of his hometown club that he named his daughter Viola.
“I hope this game can be the positive turning point for the campaign,” Viviano told Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s first leg.
“Fiorentina ought to be optimistic, as after all they are the only side to have beaten Juventus in Serie A this season.
“Besides, the second leg will be played at the Stadio Franchi, and that is a real advantage.”
The Viola won 4-2 in Florence back in October, but on Sunday lost 1-0 at the Juventus Stadium.
The first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 will be played in Turin at 20.05 GMT.
